Description:… The Gretsch Viking is a great looking 17″ wide hollow body that features two Supertron
pickups and a Bigsby vibrato. This example has some checking and minor wear and tear on the
sunburst finish along with some crack and crumbling body binding. The bridge and pickguard have
been replaced but the guitar is in good overall condition for its age and the medium elliptical neck
profile plays smooth all the way up the neck!
Neck:… Maple neck, ebony fretboard, 1 11/16″ nut width, 25.5″ scale length, medium elliptical neck
profile, half circle fretboard inlays.
Frets:… Low with minor wear mostly in first position.
Body:… 17″ wide, 2″ deep laminate maple hollow body, cracked and crumbling white body binding.
Finish:… Sunburst finish with minor play wear, some lacquer checking, dents and scratches.
Hardware/electronics:… 2 Supertron pickups, bridge replaced with a Nashville style tune-o-matic,
Bigsby tailpiece, Grover imperial tuners, replaced pickguard, original tuning fork device removed (in
case).
Playability/Action:… Good playability with current action at 5.5/64″ bass side and 5/64″ treble side.
Case:… Original Gretsch case.
