These point to point hand wired amps are designed and built from the ground up right here in Toronto. For more than 25 years, Glen Morris has developed his skills servicing, repairing, customizing, and building guitar amplifiers. In 2000 he finally launched his own official line, Morris Amplification. Glen’s amps have already earned a devout following of players who appreciate his combination of tonal versatility with excellent design and construction.

The Rock Grinder Meltdown featured here today is a 2 channel, 50 watt all tube head. Driven by 6L6 power tubes, the amp delivers fat, robust clean sounds with just the right amount of top end sparkle. Channel 2 cranks up the gain, allowing an amazing range of distortions to be brought to life. Overall, the overdrive tones of the Rock Grinder are tighter and more focused than most 6L6 powered amps… there is still a hint of classic fuzz, but the punch and bark of the low end makes it possible to achieve some fantastic modern rock tones. A clean, elegant front panel design make dailing in your favorite tones a piece of cake. The Rock Grinder also features a passive effect loop, for discreet proccessing without tonal colouring.

The Morris Rock Grinder Meltdown is a fantastic piece of gear. The construction and componenent quality is up there with the very best… this amp is as road worthy as they get.
