National Reso-Phonic Maple Concert Ukulele

Instrument Categories:

Ukuleles have been enjoying a major surge in popularity, with many people discovering how versatile and musical they really are. There are a lot of entry-level ukes that work well and are great choices, but when you play better quality (and more expensive) models, it becomes apparent that the instrument has a lot of potential. Notes are clearer, crisper, with better definition and subtle tonal nuances can be teased out or summoned forth.

The National Reso-Phonic Maple Concert Ukulele is one of the instruments that deliver these subtleties. It is built to National’s usual quality standards with figured maple for all wooden parts except the rosewood fingerboard. The faux tortoise binding and headplate go very well with the three-tone satin sunburst finish. For hardware, it has a 5.875 inch hand-spun resonator, black planetary geared tuners, bone nut and maple biscuit and saddle. As a concert ukulele, it has a 15 inch scale length and a 1.375 inch nut width.

True to the heritage of resophonic instruments – which were invented before amplifiers, so players could be heard over banjos – when played hard, the volume of the National Reso-phonic Maple concert ukulele increases dramatically, and still delivers tone.

A hardshell case is included.
