Gretsch Monkees Rock and Roll Model 6123 – 1967 SOLD

The Monkees Rock and Roll Model 6123 was made by Gretsch from mid-1966 to 1968. In the first year, the guitar came with a white Monkees logo trussrod cover. This example is a 1967 with black trussrod cover.

Neck Maple neck with bound Rosewood fingerboard, zero fret and dual neo-classic markers.
Frets Original small frets with some wear. 22 frets in total.
Body Maple laminate bound body with bound f-holes.
Finish Red! The Monkees model came in Red lacquer. Some finish wear.
Hardware/electronics Dual Super ‘Tron pickups, master volume, individial volumes, pickup switch, tone switch, standby switch. V-cut Bigsby B6 and roller type adjustable bridge. The original bridge was likely a rocking-bar model. Black trussrod cover, silvered Monkees logo Gretsch pickguard. Open geared tuners.
Playability/Action Plays pretty well!
