Neck Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Dot markers.
Frets While steels don’t have frets, they do have markers. This has 24. The fingerboards are slotted for frets, and an inlay material is inserted instead of fretwire; it’s then levelled with the fingerboard itself.
Body Hollowed Maple body, with binding on top. Back is separate to allow access to electronics.
Finish Gloss blac in good shape with silkscreened Gibson script logo on front of head.
Hardware/electronics One 1936 ES-100 type pickup, volume control, output jack on bass side. Metal nut. Original Grover Sta-Tites with ivoroid buttons.
Playability/Action Action height is seldom an issue on steels, but this sounds great.
Case Original case included.
Comments This is an 1936 model; 1937 models shifted to two controls.
