Neck One-piece mahogany neck with unbound rosewood fingerboard; dot markers.
Frets 22 medium frets in good condition.
Body Mahogany slab body in great shape.
Finish Classic tobacco sunburst lacquer finish with very little damage or wear.
Hardware/electronics Two single coil pickups, selector switch, individual volume and tones, output jack, all mounted on unbroken pickguard. Stop-bar bridge, original strip gears with white buttons, original strap pins. Gold top-hat knobs.
Playability/Action This guitar plays great and is very light at about 5.5 pounds (2.5 Kg).
Case Case included, but you’ll want to replace it if you’re gigging.
Comments Melody makers were a very common ‘entry level’ guitar, but they were good enough to be used professionally; Pat Travers and Joan Jett both used Melody Makers for years. This example is in great shape.
