Gretsch 6125 Anniversary 1960 SOLD

Serial Number 34708, made in 1960.
Pricing $1150 with non-original Gretsch case. SOLD
Neck Maple neck with unbound rosewood fingerboard, neo-classic inlays.
Frets Refretted, so this guitar is ready to gig!
Body Trestle Bracing! Bound Maple laminate body with unbound F-holes. Binding is in good shape.
Finish Tobacco sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish. This guitar has been played, so the finish is heavily worn on the neck, with some wear on the top and back.
Hardware/electronics Several parts have been replaced on this guitar. The original Grover Sta-Tites have been replaced with Schaller mini-tuners, and the original Hi-Lo ‘Tron single coil has been replaced with a ‘Patent Applied For’ Filter ‘Tron humbucker. The original Space Control bridge on ebony base is included, as is the G tailpiece. The pickguard is newer, and the ‘mud-switch’ tip is a Gibson-style part.
Playability/Action This guitar, while not fully original, plays great. It’s been refretted, the neck angle is good, and so you could easily do a quick setup to your particular taste and head to a gig with it.
Case Non-original Gretsch hardshell case included.
Comments The Gretch 6125 Anniversary model is structurally very similar to the 6120. This particular example has a few oddities: the body has trestle bracing, and the label clearly states that it’s a 6121 – but the 6121 is a quite different guitar! While not fully original, this is a very functional piece that’s ready to gig or record.
