This Custom P-09 features a rare Lacewood which perfectly illustrates Jean Larrivee’s commitment hunting down interesting premium tone woods!
The generic term “Lacewood” is used to describe several species of wood which grow in various parts of the world, primarily Australia, North America, Europe and South America. This specific set is from South America and has a beautiful warm brown coloring with a ray like grain pattern that almost looks like the skin of an exotic snake! This intriguing tone wood is quite dense with lovely sustain and projection, great balance and a haunting vocal like midrange. The volume and projection from this wood helps to provide this smaller body with an overall tone much bigger than its size would suggest!
