Serial Number 831 F built in 1940.
Pricing $3,500 CND with newer hardshell case. SOLD
Neck Mahogany neck with brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot markers. This instrument features a 12-fret neck, and Gibson script logo.
Frets Frets are in good playable condition.
Body Spruce top with mahogany back and sides. The bridge has been reglued and the top center seam has been repaired.
Finish Sunburst lacquer finish in good condition.
Hardware/electronics Original strip gears with plastic buttons, bone nut and saddle, ‘flame’ pickguard.
Playability/Action This instrument plays quite well and has a full tone. Long ago it was professionally converted from Hawaiian setup to standard, and it’s fun to play.
Case Non-original hardshell case included.
Comments This is an interesting older piece in good condition. Its deeper body fills out the tone some and it looks great.
