Serial Number 167560, built in 1959 in Nazareth, PA.
Pricing $1275 CAD with non-original case. SOLD
Neck Mahogany neck with unbound rosewood fingerboard. Rosewood headplate.
Frets Moderate play wear.
Body Mahogany body – top, back and sides, unbound – with rosewood bridge. Side crack repairs were done long ago, and there is a patch on the upper treble side near the neck block.
Finish Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Some of the finish is original, much of the body was resprayed when the side repairs were done.
Hardware/electronics Original hardware, open tuners, bone saddle, ebony nut.
Playability/Action Action is 5/64″ treble, 7/64″ bass side and the saddle is low, the guitar sounds great.
Case Later Japanese hardshell case included.
Comments Here is a great-sounding 1959 Martin 0-15 guitar. It has had repairs over its life, but is structurally sound and a really nice fingerstyle guitar.
