The MF5 is a traditional F-style mandolin featuring understated elegance – until you start to play it. Then it steps right out to the front!

|Neck||Flame maple neck with bound ebony fingerboard, dot markers. Bound ebony headplate with Mother-of-Pearl flourish and Collings logo inlays. 5 1/2″ to 11 5/8″ compound radius fingerboard, 1 1/8″ nut width.|
|Frets||Standard narrow mandolin frets.|
|Body||F-style body with carved Adirondack spruce top, flame maple sides and carved flame maple back. F-holes and Tone bar bracing on top.|
|Finish||Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish in very nice antique sunburst.|
|Hardware/electronics||Nickel plated engraved tuners, nickel plated Collings tailpiece. Bone nut, adjustable ebony bridge.|
|Playability/Action||As you’d expect from Collings, the factory setup is very good. We will of course adjust it to the player’s requirements.|
