Comments The Gibson SG has been a workhorse since its introduction. Versatile and capable, it has been used in pretty much every style of music.

This 1974 example shows a fair amount of wear, which really means that the guitar has been used for its intended purpose and has proved it can really do the job!

Neck Mahogany neck with unbound ebony fingerboard, mother of pearl block markers. Black headplate with mother of pearl Gibson logo inlay. 24.75″ scale length. A headstock crack was professionally repaired long ago and is solid.
Frets Original wide frets with minor wear.
Body Solid mahogany body.
Finish Original nitrocellulose lacquer finish with plenty of honest play wear – finish is worn on the the back, some touched-up dents and scratches on the top.
Hardware/electronics Nickel-plated Keystone grover type gears, Bigsby B5 vibrato unit, chrome ‘Nashville’ style wide tune-o-matic bridge; pickup selector and individual volume and tone controls; DiMarzio pickups added some time ago.
Playability/Action Plays well and can be set up to meet the player’s requirements.
