|Comments||This DK Guitars Picasso was built in 2012 by Dmitry Kulakov near Ottawa. These unique instruments are visually arresting, and what they offer the player is not really available with other designs. The large port on the bass side gives a direct experiece of the guitar’s sound; the player hears this rather than what’s reflected back from the room.
The design uses a custom double-X bracing pattern and an offset arch. The tonal result is full and balanced, with complex sparkling highs and rounded lows.
The top inlay and bridge design are suggestive of Picasso’s work, and add to the unique character of this instrument.
