2001 Hamer Studio (consignment) SOLD

Comments The Hamer company was started in 1973, and was one of the very first ’boutique’ electric guitar builders, specializing in high-quality instruments based on classic and often unavailable guitars, like the Explorer and Flying V.

The company was purchased by Kaman (who also build Ovations) in 1998, and then by Fender in 2008. This year (February 2013) Fender announced that the line is being discontinued.

This is a 2001 Hamer Studio, based on the Les Paul Double Cutaway – often called the Special by Gibson. The guitar features a high-quality bookmatched flame maple top and Seth Lover pickups. It’s in quite good shape, plays well and sounds good.
