1945 Martin 0-17T Tenor Guitar (consignment) SOLD

Comments Tenor guitars like this Martin 0-17T were very popular for quite some time, partly because they’re fairly portable and with only four strings, perhaps easier to use as an accompanying instrument to a voice. They seem to have fallen out of favour with the rise of amplified and especially recorded music, but have a solid place in some country and Celtic styles.Like many tenor instruments, this 1945 Martin 0-17T tenor guitar is mahogany except for the fingerboard and bridge. It’s in good playing condition, has recently been serviced, and the minor cracks on the back are stable. The mahogany adds a warmth that balances the brightness often found in small bodied instruments.
