1963 Fender Precision Bass Sunburst (consignment) SOLD

On its introduction in 1951, the Fender Precision Bass changed the music world. Since then, it has been the standard for all electric bass guitars. Used on a vast number of stages and recordings, the Fender bass is the most successful bass instrument ever.

This example of the 1963 Fender Precision Bass in Sunburst is in great playing condition, and is largely original. There is lots of buckle wear on the back, and the neck finish is worn; the decals are in good condition and not flaked off. Given the amount of wear on the finish and the very small amount of wear on the fingerboard, this bass likely had a professional refret a few years ago. The setup is very good and the bass is great to play.

The neck is dated Jan 63, and the hardware appears to be original. The thumbrest is missing, and a non-original tweed case is included.

Serial Number: 93359, built during early 1963 at the Fender plant in Fullerton, California.

Pricing: $6,500.00 with non-original case. SOLD
