2008 Lowden 025C Natural (consignment) SOLD

Lowden guitars are again (since 2003) built by the family-owned Lowden company near their home in Downpatrick, County Down, Northern Ireland. These guitars, very popular in Europe but not well represented in North America, use unique designs and high quality construction.

This 2008 Lowden 025C is in great condition with just a few dings and minor playwear. The combination of a Cedar top and Indian Rosewood back and sides on the jumbo body produce a full, rich and very well articulated sound with lots of volume and projection. To reinforce the guitar’s natural tone, a Fishman Ellipse Blend system is installed with an endpin jack. The battery box is mounted on the neck block, accessible through the soundhole.

The neck is built of 3 sections of mahogany with walnut separator layers; the fingerboard is ebony (with ebony binding) and the bridge rosewood, with a top-mount pinless design. Gold Gotoh tuners with ebony buttons and a rosewood headplate round out the headstock.

Overall this is an excellent instrument, in very good condition with great tone and quite comfortable to play.
