The Twelfth Fret ~ Since 1977 ~

Beard JD Blackbeard Jerry Douglas Signature Squareneck Resophonic Guitar

Here it is – the Beard JD Blackbeard Jerry Douglas Signature Squareneck. A cosmetically stripped down version of the Beard Jerry Douglas Signature model, the Beard JD Blackbeard features the E model body built with solid mahogany top, back, sides and neck and a very interesting translucent black finish.

The Beard JD Blackbeard is based on Jerry Douglas’ memory of a black 1928 entry-level Dobro, the first ‘authentic’ Dobro he held when he was 12 and just learning to play. The JD Blackbeard reflects the values of that guitar – simple and unadorned, yet fully capable of producing astounding tone and volume.
