Greg Smallman builds top-drawer, professional concert grade yet not strictly traditional, classical guitars in Australia. Greg Smallman builds top-drawer, professional concert grade yet not strictly traditional, classical guitars in Australia. This 1998 Smallman classical model was built in Glen Innes, New South Wales; since then they’ve relocated near Esperance, Western Australia.
The construction, while not ‘standard’, is impeccable and produces an instrument that is really quite loud and projects very well while maintaining tonal balance, fullness and warmth.
Many top classical artists have used Smallman guitars, with John Williams one of the most famous.
Since 1999, Smallman has brought his sons fully into the business and the label now reads “Greg Smallman And Sons Damon & Kym”
