Known for large amounts of headroom provided by relatively low gain-preamps and high volume provided by custom transformers, these amps and its 100 watt cousins were found on stages with many of the largest acts of the time.

Hiwatt DR-103 100 watt head in good, largely original condition.  It was built at Kingston, Surrey in 1974 and initialed by Harry Joyce, who was hired by David Reeves as one of the few who met his rigid quality standards . One tube socket has been replaced, and it has JJ power tubes. This amplifier has been serviced by Brandon Montgomery at Bludotone Amps. Physically, it is in good shape with smaller wear to the Tolex covering. The two original Partridge transformers are in place and working well.
