Built from 1964 to 1982, the Guild F212 came with a Natural Top (NT) and was based around a 16 inch wide Jumbo body of Spruce and Mahogany. Here we’re looking at a Guild F212 NT built during 1970 in Westerly, Rhode Island. This model is built with a Sitka Spruce top, Tropical Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck, and Indian Rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge. This guitar is in good working condition and has had a number of repairs over the years.

The Hammertone Deluxe Mandotar is a very interesting instrument. Built in George Furlanetto’s FBass workshop in Hamilton, Ontario and drawing from the 1964 – 1968 Vox Mando Guitar or Octave 12, these are like a solidbody electric 12 string with a capo at the octave fret. The size and layout is much like a mandolin.
The Larrivee J-25 follows the successful Jumbo 12-string design, used to great success by Guild and based on the Gibson super jumbo body originating in the late 1930s. This example of Larrivee J-25 production dates to January 29, 1990 and was built in Victoria, British Columbia. The model number identifies it as a J body – Jumbo – in 25 trim, with Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides
This Taylor Custom GS-12 shows off the tonal and playability reasons why this company makes some of the best and most popular 12’s. The GS (Grand Symphony) body is large but comfortable, the neck is strong but slim enough to scamper around on, and the sound can easily fill a room.
