Les Paul Standard Double Cutaway Limited 'Ocean Water' Blue, 2016

The nicely flamed top of the Les Paul Standard Double Cut uses a translucent, ‘Ocean Water’ blue finish that’s almost turquoise. The rest of the body and neck are a dark, midnight blue that’s nearly opaque. Hardware is chrome, including Grover locking tuners that make restringing a breeze, tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece. The pickups are open-coil zebra humbuckers with a simplified wiring scheme – pickup selector, master volume and master tone. Schaller Strap-Locks are installed.

Fender Precision Bass Sunburst 1966

Fender Precision Bass Sunburst 1966

The ‘Precision’ name refers to the ease of precise intonation, not always the case with fretless acoustic basses. Most bassists rapidly shifted to using fretted electric basses. With better tuning and much greater portability, the P-Bass was an instant hit.
