This wonderful piece uses its original parts though some work has been done around the guitar over the years. The sunburst finish has worn through to the base clear sealer coats where the player has contacted and rested against the surface.

❌SOLD❌ Fender SRV Signature Stratocaster Sunburst, 1993

Here we’re looking at a Fender SRV Signature Series Stratocaster, built during 1993 at the Fender plant in Corona, California. Like Number One, it uses an Alder body paired with a Maple neck and a “slab” board fingerboard – however, the fingerboard is apparently Pau Ferro, not Rosewood. In 1963, Fender had not quite worked out how to wrap a thin layer of Rosewood over a curved neck on a production line basis, so a flat board was installed and the top received the crown. And, in 1963, the fingerboard would have been Brazilian Rosewood.
