Godin Montreal Premiere HT Sunburst, 2016

Godin Montreal Premiere HT Sunburst, 2016

Introduced in 2013 at the winter NAMM show, the Godin Montreal Premiere HT has a thin trestle-braced arched top body and is ideal for jazz players. This Godin Montreal Premiere HT example is in very good, clean condition, dates to the first months of 2016 and was built at the Godin shops in La Patrie, Quebec with a mixture of domestic and imported woods. The top, back and sides are locally sourced Wild Cherry laminate with a Trestle or ML bracing system that supports and damps the body while reducing weight, and provides anchor points for the stop tailpiece.

❌SOLD❌ Godin Multiac Steel Natural HG, 2018

The Godin Multiac Steel is an example of design created to address a practical problem – acoustic feedback at stage volumes. The Multiac series draws from the Gibson Chet Atkins CEC – Cutaway Electric Classical – which allowed Chet to play a nylon string guitar on a full stage without worry of howling feedback. The CEC was followed by steel string versions, but over time they were all removed from production lines.

The Godin 5th Avenue archtop model was introduced at the 2008 NAMM show, it was a surprise hit given that this type of guitar has been seen on fewer stages since the early 1960s. Since then, the 5th Avenue has been seen in a number of variations with different pickup configurations, with and without Bigsby True Vibrato tailpieces, with and without cutaways, and in a host of finishes. Seen here is the Godin 5th Avenue Edition Speciale PT sporting an Indigo Blue finish.

❌SOLD❌ Godin Multiac Grand Concert SA Natural, 2021

The Godin Multiac Grand Concert SA is the direct descendant of a Chet Atkins idea – a nylon-string guitar built to be amplified. The initial models were built by Gibson as the Chet Atkins CEC (Cutaway Electric Classic). Eventually, Gibson discontinued the model but Godin took the concept and improved it dramatically, even including synthesizer interface electronics.
