MORE →This Neal Moser ‘Red Eye’ model features one of the more distinctive and unusual finishes we’ve seen, and these were a specialty of Moser while working with GMW Guitar Works. Neal Moser has a long and varied history in the guitar business. While working with Bernardo Rico, Moser met Wayne Charvel. This led to an introduction to Lee Garver, owner of GMW Guitar Works in Glendora, California, and Dan Lawrence, owner of DRL Graphics and GMP Guitars in nearby San Dimas.

MORE →Here is a bit of history – Jeff Healey’s Jackson Siamese Doubleneck, purchased in 1988 while recording the Roadhouse soundtrack and used during many performances and recordings! The Jeff Healey Band consisted of Jeff Healey on guitars, Joe Rockman on bass, and Tom Stephen on drums. The band’s material was heavily influenced by blues-rock styles, and eventually folded as Healey’s interests moved towards jazz. Jeff Healey died of cancer in 2008, aged 41.

This model is constructed of Mahogany, with a bound compound radius Ebony fingerboard. The neck also uses a scarf joint at the head to improve strength and reduce chances of breakage, and also has graphite reinforcement rods for stability.

MORE →The Jackson Stars line featured a number of familiar Jackson models and was built in Japan with very high quality, with importation limited 1990 and 1991. Subsequently, sales of these pro-level models was limited to the Japanese market. These followed the successful Charvel series, and began in 1990. In 1992, production of bolt-on models began and importation of that line continued. This Jackson Stars SL-2H, Made In Japan and according to its serial number, during 1990. On these guitars, the serial number is an impressed stamp located on the body end of the fingerboard. It’s a six digit number, with the first digit indicating the year, counting from 1990.

MORE →The Jackson SL3MG uses the ‘Super Strat’ concept, with a Floyd Rose locking trem system, and a pair of humbuckers. The scale length is a full 25.5 inches (648mm), and the nut width 1.6875 inches (43mm). This example is a Jackson SL3MG in Green Swirl finish, built during 2011 and in excellent condition in every respect. Originally, it came with EMG pickups but these have been replaced. The neck pickup is now a DiMarzio Evolution, and the bridge a DiMarzio Double Whammy. The original pickups are not included.
