The Godin 5th Avenue archtop model was introduced at the 2008 NAMM show, it was a surprise hit given that this type of guitar has been seen on fewer stages since the early 1960s. Since then, the 5th Avenue has been seen in a number of variations with different pickup configurations, with and without Bigsby True Vibrato tailpieces, with and without cutaways, and in a host of finishes. Seen here is the Godin 5th Avenue Edition Speciale PT sporting an Indigo Blue finish.

Godin Summit Classic HB Black, 2016

The Godin Summit Classic HB is derived from a classic design, and offers a chambered Spanish Cedar body with a carved Maple cap. This example was built during 2016 at the Godin plants in La Patrie and Richmond, Quebec. It’s in great condition with very little wear.

This is a very nice condition Godin Summit Classic Supreme LTD in Cognac Burst finish and sporting a pair of Lollar Gold Foil pickups! This example dates to 2018, built at the Godin shops in Quebec. The Summit Classic draws from the proven combination of a Maple cap on a Mahogany body and neck. The fingerboard is Richlite.

The Godin Passion Custom comes from the Godin plants in southern Quebec, and is largely built from woods native to the area – except for the fingerboard. The body uses a Swamp Ash cap on a chambered Red Cedar body, and the bolt-on neck is Maple with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard. For hardware, very smooth Gotoh 510 tuners are at the head with a Godin-branded two-point trem on the body.

The chambered body Richmond Dorchester by Godin was built from late 2008 until 2013, along with a bass version, the Belmont and Empire models. The Richmond guitar shop was initiated by Godin during 2008 to focus on building chambered and solidbody electric models. Three models were ultimately offered, the Belmont Dorchester and Empire before closure in 2013.
