Taylor 12 Fret

Taylor 12 Fret

It started with a 35th Anniversary model and Bob Taylor liked the design so much that the 12 Fret Grand Concert model was put into regular production. This wonderfully comfortable guitar features a Sitka spruce top, Indian Rosewood sides and back, a 12 fret neck to body design with a slotted head stock, venetian cutaway and Taylor ES pickup system.

Martin Guitars 000-18 Authentic 1937

Martin Guitars 000-18 Authentic 1937

C.F. Martin & Co. have introduced their second in the Authentic series of instruments with the Martin Guitars 000-18 Authentic 1937 model. This series is absolutely meticulous in its recreation of the classic pre-war Martin guitar designs. From the Adirondack spruce top & bracing, to the Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay, fossilized ivory nut & saddle, hide glue dovetail neck joint, oval buttoned Waverly tuners and T-rod neck reinforcement … this as close as it gets to the real thing without getting in your time machine!

Martin Custom HD-28 Sunburst

Martin’s HD-28 has been quietly out-selling most other dreadnoughts of ANY brand name for the last ten years. This model is perhaps the perfect blend of vintage features and modern improvements with its traditional scalloped bracing pattern, tortoiseshell pickguard & herringbone marquetry combined with a modern low profile neck and intonation compensated bridge!

Martin 00-28VS

Today we’re featuring the recent reissue of the Martin 00-28VS. Believe it or not, this model was initially introduced in 1898 … and at that time was the largest guitar they produced! Of course today this little 14″ parlor style guitar is sought after for its exceptionally even string-to-string response with a fundamental-rich warm overall tonality!

Martin OM-21 Special

I think that every time I walked by the Martin booth at this year’s NAMM music trade show, there was a large crowd around the Martin OM-21 Special! It really did make quite an impression with a LOT of dealers and it’s not surpising considering the features … bone nut & saddle, Gotoh butterbeans with pewter finish, crisply executed ebony pyramid bridge, wide fingerstyle-friendly string spacing on a low profile neck, retro looking rosewood binding and a premium tortoiseshell pickguard on the vintage toner Sitka top!
