S/N: DA115407, built towards the end of 1968 at the Guild shop in Westerly, Rhode Island USA.
The Guild D25 dreadnought steel string guitar was for a time called the Bluegrass D25, because it works so well for bluegrass styles. It's a sonic cannon that holds up well when played hard. Built from 1968 to 1999, the D25 was all mahogany until 1975 and then got a spruce top. It was available with sunburst or natural finishes. The back is mahogany, heat pressed to an arched shape that gives a significant amount of strength and projection. The neck is mahogany, with rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge.

This Guild D25 SB dates to later 1986 and was built at Guild's Westerly, Rhode Island plant. It is in good playing condition with some dings and scratches from being used over the years, and some natural lacquer checking. The pickguard is fairly long, practical for an instrument that's intended to be heavily strummed with a pick. Fret wear is light. There is a passive, internally mounted pickup installed to an endpin jack. The tuners are Guild branded Schaller units.

Sitting here playing this guitar, it feels solid as many Guilds do. It's fairly loud and projects well, with good articulation and no sense of muddiness. This would be a great rhythm guitar in a country or bluegrass setting, and would likely record well as a fingerstyle guitar. A hardshell case is included.
