Built from 1997 to 2003, the Bourgeois Martin Simpson model features a Grand Auditorium body with a very deep cutaway. Targeted towards fingerstyle artists, this model delivers lots of power and punch along with great tone.

This example of the Bourgeois Martin Simpson model dates to 1998. It features a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides, and a dreadnought-sized body with an unusually deep cutaway. The bridge, fingerboard and headplate are ebony.

The scale length is 25.4 inches and the nut width is 1.75 inches; the neck joins the body at the 12th fret, which moves the bridge towards the vibrating center of the top and can really improve volume and tonal responsiveness.

There is a repaired and cleated crack on the top, and this guitar was used as intended - there is picking wear on the top to the treble side of the soundhole.

As stock, a K&K Pure Mini was installed, and the belt pack is in the case. A KR Baggs M1 Active pickup has also been installed. A black hardshell case is included.
