The Guild Bluesbird was based on the Aristocrat M-75, which was built from 1954 to 1963. First re-introduced in 1967 as a hollowbody version, by 1970 it became a solidbody and then was discontinued and re-introduced three times, in 1984, 1994, and in 2011.

This version of the Guild Bluesbird dates to the 1998 - 2003 period and is a Standard model; there was also another higher end version with spectactular AAA-grade maple tops, available in Natural and Tobacco Sunburst. The serial number puts it early in this sequence, so we're saying 1999. Finally, there was also a P-90 version with dot position markers rather than block inlays.

Featuring a carved, figured Maple top on a chambered Honduran mahogany body, with Honduran mahogany neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block position markers, this Guild Bluesbird sports a cherry red transparent polyurethane finish (finish number 838) and is in good condition with minor fret wear. The scale length is 24.75 inches, the nut width is 1 11/16 inches, and there are 22 frets.

The hardware is all original; the covers on the original Seymour Duncan SH-1 pickups are slightly corroded and one of the tone controls has lost its G logo. The original hardshell case is included.
