The Twelfth Fret offers one-on-one lessons with qualified teachers, and we also host, many in our shop, a series of events and small group workshops. These workshops let you hear from great players how they’ve learned and how they approach music.

The Twelfth Fret School of Music offers on-site lessons for electric & acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin, violin/fiddle and banjo.
The Twelfth Fret School of Music employs seven professional guitar teachers and two bass teachers, all with extensive teaching and playing experience in pop, rock, blues, jazz, country, bluegrass, folk, modern fingerstyle and classical idioms.
Comprehensive theory instruction is also available.

The Twelfth Fret regularly hosts small musical events in our shop, after hours, featuring local and visiting artists, as well as demonstration tours by manufacturers. Because these are in our shop, attendance is limited, and the price of entry usually gets you an equal-value gift card (redeemable during business hours). It’s a lot of fun and a great deal!
