Neck Maple neck with scarf-joint at the head – very strong. Bound ebony fingerboard and head plate. Snowflake inlays, adjustable truss rod, and bolt-on design so the action can be set to whatever you require.
Frets 21 medium frets.
Body Mahogany body. bound top Routed for tailpiece adjustment and neck joint.
Finish Tobacco sunburst gloss finish.
Hardware/electronics Gold-plated hardware. Planetary tuners, straight-line tailpiece, bolted-down hoop. Single coil telecaster-type pickup at the neck, humbucking pickup under the head. Volume and tone controls, pickup selector.
Playability/Action Considerably lighter than a resonator banjo, but with the ability to be much, MUCH louder, the EBM-5 is easy to play for long periods of time.
