| "Have you played that new Bourgeois Madagascar
OM yet? That thing is unbelievable!" I know when I hear
the staff all talking about one specific guitar, it is something
special and believe me ... THIS guitar prompted more chatter than I've
heard in quite a while.
Dana initially built his reputation on building
one of the best Orchestra Models in the business. It was, and still
is, a specialty of his. Since then, he has become equally well known
for his larger instruments, but this new Adirondack & Madagascar
OM is proof that the master has not lost his touch!
The Bourgeois workshop pulled out all of the stops
on this instrument ... from the rare bearclaw figured Adirondack spruce
top, to the dark deeply flamed Hawaiian koa binding, the gold
plated Waverly tuners with rosewood buttons and the oh-SO-gorgeous premium
Madagascar rosewood back & sides with its dark defined Rio grain patterns
... this instrument is first class all the way.
But it is really the sound of this one that
prompted the excitement at our shop. This guitar reacts to both finger
and pick attack with an immediacy of response that launches a very powerful
note fundamental made interesting by an overtone series that just glitters.
This my friend, is a special one. |
