The Collings MF5 mandolins utilize the highest grade tonewoods possible.  The top is premium hand graduated spruce while the back and sides are solid, deeply figured maple.  This mandolin features grained ivoroid on all edges,  a flawless gloss sunburst finish,  custom Collings-made ebony bridge,  the Collings string-thru cast tailpiece,  and a  radiused fingerboard which extends to the 22nd fret with a graceful extension that compliments the headstock.
