| It really hasn't taken the relatively new
AR803CE-16 very long to catch on with jazz players. Why am I not
surprised! This instrument is essentially the John Pissano model
in dimension and construction ... featuring my favorite Venetian cutaway
shape, a 16 1/4" lower bout dimension, comfortable 2 3/4" side
depth, classy bound peghead, gold plated Gotoh tuners with
ebony buttons, bound f-holes, bound ebony finger rest,
ebony floating bridge and the Eastman metal/ebony tailpiece!
Of course the engine that drives this jazz machine
is the top-mounted humbucker designed by Kent Armstrong. The feedback
I've had from customers as well as my own experience using this pickup
for the last two years is all very positive to say the least. This
is one of the very few humbuckers that gives a nice thick full high E string
response without having to turn the tone control down so much that the
rest of the strings sound muddy! |
