Gibson Inspired By Series: the Jimi Hendrix Psychedelic Flying V

Gibson Jimi Hendrix Flying V
Jimi Hendrix bought his Flying V new in 1967 and used it for the next two years while he toured Europe.  At some point early in the guitar's life,  Jimi painted the body with bold swirling colours depicting flowers,  hearts and random motifs.  The lines and colours are painted with confident daring strokes that capture the feeling of the times and the creativity of the artist himself!

The Gibson Custom Shop has recreated a very limited number of replicas of this historically significant instrument under the banner of the "Inspired By Series".  From the wood selection to hand painting to final assembly, these Jimi Hendrix Psychedelic Flying V guitars are meticulously crafted by the elite luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop!
