Gibson Jimmy Page Les Paul
"Number Two"

For many, the 1959 Gibson Les Paul is the ultimate electric guitar. For those lucky enough to own one, the mere idea of modifying the guitar in any way is enough to produce cries of outrage. That is, unless you happen to be Jimmy Page. Always on the lookout for new sonic possibilities, Page's "Number Two" Les Paul was re-wired beyond the standard '59 specs, allowing both the player and the guitar to flex their musical muscles in ways the world had never seen.

When Jimmy Page bought his first '59 Les Paul, it was a match made in heaven. Was it the guitar that brought out the best in Page? Was it Page who brought out the best of the guitar? Or was it a magical bit of both? Whatever the reason, there is little doubt that Jimmy Page has become the ultimate icon for the Gibson Les Paul. It's only fitting that Gibson would go through such painstaking lengths to recreate Page's "Number Two" Les Paul; arguably the most famous electric guitar in the world.

Every detail of Page's "Number Two" has been faithfully duplicated in this limited reproduction.  The VOS finished version pictured here is one of only 200 pieces world wide. 100 more were given an aging treatment by master builder Tom Murphy, with a final 25 being signed by Jimmy Page himself.  It doesn't get much more exclusive than that!

Now the bad news.... this guitar is already sold! Only a handful of the Jimmy Page "Number Two" Les Pauls made it into Canada, and we were lucky enough to secure just this one. Still, we couldn't let a guitar as historic as this come through the shop without sharing it with you. Besides, if we all make enough noise and keep our fingers crossed, we just might convince Gibson to build more. Here's hoping!
