       The Albert Lee signature model from Ernie Ball Music Man has become a personal favorite for many of us here at the shop. It strikes a perfect balance between the modern construction techniques players demand and the classic guitar tones eveyone wants to hear. The beautiful Ash body is highlited nicely by its unique angular silhouette and sunburst finish, along with a matching headstock. Despite the bold design, the guitar feels instantly familiar as soon as you pick it up. The contours are comfortable to hold, and of course there is the famous Music Man asymmetrical neck profile. If there is anyone out there who has played a Music Man and didn't love the neck, I haven't met them. 
     At the center of the Albert Lee are 3 Seymour Duncan P90 Pickups, controlled by a five-way switch. Imagine the chimey, bell like tones of a classic Stratocaster with a hint of extra power and a slightly warmer midrange, and you'll get the idea of what this guitar can do. Thanks to Music Man's patented "Silent Circut", these single-coil tones come without the '60 cycle' hum that plagues so many other guitars. Like all Music Man guitars, the Albert Lee features nop-notch hardware: a rock solid 2-point syncronized trem with brass internal block,  locking tuners, and a compensated nut for better intonation.
     The Albert Lee is a wonderful guitar that is worth taking a close look at. It might become a personal favorite of yours as well!
