| Visually, Lutz has strong winter growth lines like
Sitka, but that nice creamy summer growth as seen in White spruce
or Engelmann. Sonically it has the solid warm note core that I love
in Sitka but definitely more clarity in the low end and better response
from a light right hand attack!
Add the immediacy of response that Cocobolo brings
to the table, the low/mid punch of a Modified X brace pattern,
the wide dynamic range of a 65' top radius ... and I would say we have
all the bases covered ... almost! The icing on this particular cake
in my mind is the solid rosewood internal lining that is soooooo time consuming
to install but yields such incredible detail & complexity in the overtone
partials. I love a solid note fundamental with a nice golden glow
... but then I want some FIREWORKS!
Did you notice in the specs below that this one
has Adirondack spruce struts? Like I said at the beginning ... the
best materials optimized to execute at the very highest level! |
