Build to Order

This custom Dreadnought from Taylor's Build to Order program features some excellent wood sets and high end features. The Adirondack top and AA Indian Rosewood sides and back were hand picked by Dave and Grant at this years Namm show and I must say these guys sure know how to select wood sets! The idea behind this custom dreadnought was to mix a modern flat top design with some more vintage features and the result is a beautiful looking and sounding guitar.

This instrument is geared towards flat picking and big chord strumming with the Adirondack top and bracing providing tons of headroom and treble clarity. The Indian Rosewood sides and back augment the crisp note fundamental with an extended bass range and rich overtone set. The "V" carve neck and 1 11/16 nut width is very comfortable for tight chord grips and fast flat picking passages. We decided to keep the inlay to a bare minimum and let the wood grains stand out. This guitar is another great example of the Taylor Build to Order program at work!
