| At the end of 2006 Bob Taylor made a small run
of the new Grand Symphony guitars with some select highly flamed Hawaiian
koa back & sides. These guitars were not advertised or posted
on their website, but our sales rep Steve Parr dropped us an email
to inform us that they would be shipping in early 2007, so we were
lucky enough to secure a few of them!
The GS body has rapidly become the most popular
Taylor body size in our store! That 16 1/4" lower bout with Bob's
interior relief route REALLY pumps some air when you dig in to the Grand
Symphony and yet these special Hawaiian Koa versions have PLENTY of nuance
and a wonderful character for fingerstyle players with a light right hand.
Add the Expression System, grained ivoroid binding, abalone
shell soundhole rosette and a quite beautiful Sitka top ... and we've got
the full package!!! |
