Weber A-style Bitterroot Mandolin
After his long tenure with Gibson as their head mandolin luthier,  Bruce Weber went on to found the Sound to Earth company.   This small shop hand crafts premium mandolins under the Weber Mandolin banner in beautiful Montana and has become one of the most successful American mandolin shop in the world!

Today I'm featuring the A-style version of Weber's Bitterroot model which features a carved & graduated spruce top with tone bars,  lightly figured maple back & sides,  a maple neck with radiused ebony fingerboard,  ebony Brekke bridge,  cast Weber tailpiece,  raised fingerboard extension,  full 14" scale length and ivoroid top binding!

This instrument is set up to play as smooth as butter and with the maple back & sides in combination with the delicately voiced top & tone bars ... just positively BARKS the sound out when chopping chords and cuts very nicely indeed when executing rapid single note work!
