| Fab Alberico has established himself as one of
North America's premier luthiers specializing in instruments for the fingerstyle
guitarist. His thoughtful, refined guitar designs in tandem
with one of the most responsive, dynamic and heterogeneous guitar
tones, have propelled him into international prominence.
This particular instrument is a prototype made
at our request, utilizing a tuned side port to enhance the acoustic
gratification for the player as well as the audience. Side
ports have been gaining acceptance and rave reviews by professional players
in recent years and if this guitar is any indication, they will be
around for many years to come!
Once again, Fabrizio has put to use
one of his favorite tone woods, Cocobolo. This dense hardwood
has superb colour depth, quite spectacular dark grain lines and tends to
enhance an already spectacular overtone series. The Sitka top tends
to balance all of this sparkle with a solid midrange and firm core to the
fundamental note. Simply put, this is just a breath-taking
instrument!!!
