Some small body steel strings exhibit an overly prominent midrange that imparts a very nasal quality to the overall sonority of the instrument. Although tone is obviously very subjective by nature, most players that I know are not attracted to this quality. Allan Beardsell avoids this pitfall in this new model 2G by his skillful use of tonewoods and tonebar manipulation. While this instrument still displays a healthy set of mids, it is very open and musical sounding and is surrounded by an equally muscular bass register as well as extremely engaging trebles! This guitar has absolutely everything I could ever want in a small bodied instrument!!!
