Collings 000-2H Custom Mahogany Guitar with Sunburst Finish

The Collings Guitar Company of Austin Texas specializes in crafting high end instruments based on time honored classic designs. The 000-2H pictured above arrived yesterday and is reminiscent of the 12-fret neck 'triple O' guitars that were especially popular in the 1920's. When you play this instrument you really do wonder why anyone switched to the more modern 14 fret neck design. These old 'long body' guitars have a commanding presence and almost magical response that never fails to surprise the uninitiated.

This Collings OOO-2H features precision Waverly tuners on a slotted headstock, Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay, ebony fingerboard, ebony pyramid bridge, herringbone top marquetry, flawless Honduran mahogany back & sides and a gentle golden sunburst top finish!
