I've nick-named this one "Pearly Gates". Forget the DEEPLY figured flamed maple back & sides. Don't even look at the premium tight grained top or the warm glow of this quite exquisitely applied Cremona sunburst stain. Don't take into account the proprietary cast tailpiece, the ebony finger-rest or the absolutely flawless scroll work. FORGET all of that! It's the sound of this instrument that is truly extraordinary. The tone on this mandolin is simply HEAVEN!!!
