The semi-hollow T-165SX is a premium all-solid single cutaway 15" guitar that features gold plated Kent Armstrong designed pickups, a very comfortable 25" scale length on a radiused ebony fingerboard and a rich gloss lacquer Golden Age finish! The carved spruce top gives this instrument a uniquely rich tone while the full length internal block gives superb feedback rejection and excellent sustain properties. The Eastman T-165SX pictured above is being sold
at and extra 20% off the discounted sell price because of light lacquer
checking!

Eastman Guitar's T166 is a 16" single cutaway thinline with full length internal sustain block. The one photographed above is the "MX" version with solid carved mahogany back & sides and solid carved flamed maple top, finished in a rich "Classic" rubbed lacquer finish! This 16" body positions the guitar in THE perfect position for playing sitting down while the full length internal sustain block provides optimum feedback rejection and even response from all notes. I am a HUGE fan of these particular Kent Armstrong designed humbuckers too! The individual adjustable pole pieces allow you to set up your instrument for perfectly even output for any gauge or brand of string! This all-solid wood, true-carved instrument
is being sold new with full warranty at an extra 35% off the already discounted
sell price as a "factory second" with very slight side-to-side fingerboard
shrinkage!

Grant Green, Hank Garland and Ted McCarty sit down for a quick corned beef on rye. It's 1959 ... it's New York City ... it's time for a new premium thinline guitar to satisfy the needs of these two consummate studio players and Ted is furiously sketching out designs and specifications on the paper napkins. The T146 is born. Hank gets mustard on his tie. The waitress kicks them all out for hogging the table. The above scenerio is total fiction of course, BUT, to me this new true-carved all solid wood thinline from Eastman Guitars just COULD have been conceived in the golden era of electric guitar building. A carved & graduated spruce top ... the true carved flamed maple back & sides ... a fully hollow thinline body with Venetian cutaway ... remind you of anything? This to me is a 25" scale length Byrdland but with a price tag that's affordable!!! Even better, the instrument pictured
above was purchased as a "factory second" with some minor lacquer checking
(and a couple of small finish chips on the back of the peghead) that is
being sold a full 30% off the already heavily discounted sell price!
