| There are certainly no shortage of small,
portable acoustic guitar amps that are loaded with digital effects,
but if you are looking for a professional quality unit with TONS of power
and headroom, this is it!
The new Fishman Loudbox takes a fairly bare
bones approach to providing lots of on-stage power for your acoustic instrument.
The front panel sports only a handful of controls for this one channel
amp. That's right, there are no extra inputs for mics,
CD player or drum machine. This amp is dedicated to your instrument
only. This is a 250 watt PA-in-a-box whose power is distributed in
a tri-amp configuration that provides 160 watts to the bass speaker, 60
watts to the mid driver and 30 watts to the two tweeters. The only
effect offered is on-board spring reverb, but there is an effects
loop and an XLR line out to the board as well as a very effective feedback
notch filter and mute function (for tuning or switching instruments).
I love the rugged built in 'kick stand' that allows you to tilt this unit
back 45, 57 or 70 degrees!
