Gibson ES-175 Natural Finish

I was just watching some old black & white TV footage of Jim Hall (with Sonny Rollins) and had forgotten that he was playing his old ES-175 during that era.  Heck ... most of my jazz guitar heroes from the '50s and '60s were playing this model!  The ES-175 was introduced by Gibson in 1949 and really has been dominant in the idiom ever since!

We received a "heads-up" from the Canadian Gibson distributor that an especially nice and increasingly rare Natural finish ES-175 was available, so we jumped on it.  What an exceptional instrument!  The figure in the wood is quite attractive with a nice patina to the lacquer, great playability AND that great "inside jazz" tone that I love!!!
