To tell you the truth, we didn't quite know what to expect when we heard that the Les Paul Studio Premium Plus was being offered with a finish called " Root Beer " (see photo above). I was definitely holding my breath when we unpacked the box, until we flipped the case latches and saw this very VERY classy rich transparent violin brown finish! Of course the stunning HIGHLY figured flamed maple carved top and gold plated hardware are not too hard on the retinas either!

The Premium Plus version of Gibson's popular Studio Les Paul has been an extremely well received model since its introduction. I don't think we've had one in stock for longer than a week! Here's a shot of a Premium Plus Studio that we just received with, as usual, a carved superbly figured maple cap in a very appealing Trans Red finish! Add gold plated hardware, a rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, the full tone of a classic Les Paul and a very tempting price and it's no wonder these things are tough to keep in stock!
